On May 30, 1991, as the Wendel mines were being shut down, a small team of miners was still working above ground to secure the site and facilities in preparation for the end of operations. One evening, at the end of his shift, a miner was found dead in the hallway, in front of the beverage vending machine. His water bottle had tipped over; he slipped on the spill and broke his neck when he fell. At least, that is the conclusion of the investigation conducted by the site guards. You receive an anonymous letter casting doubt on this conclusion. The miner was allegedly killed by a member of the team working on the mine’s closure. Who is the culprit? What weapon was used? Why was he murdered?
You have only 75 minutes left before the site closes permanently and the investigation is wrapped up to enter the buildings, examine the crime scene, and question the team members working on closing the shafts. Will you be able to unravel the mystery surrounding this case?
