Built in the 13th century by the lords of Falkenstein, Ramstein was demolished in the 14th century after having been used as a hideout by bandits. Go and see the bizarre mushroom-shaped sandstone rock! This stronghold has been prohibited to visitors since 1999 for safety reasons.
