A luminous trail awakens the imagination of young and old alike. The Sentier des Lanternes (Lantern Trail), an initiative of the Moselle département, is a not-to-be-missed event and a symbol of the festive season. For its 14th edition, Square Boufflers, transformed for the occasion into a veritable showcase of light, will play host to the Christmas Village.
As they stroll along, visitors will be immersed in the warm, magical world of the Christmas village, with its central square, little paths and illuminated little houses, where the big wheel and glittering skating rink come together in a joyful, colorful setting. The Sentier des Lanternes Village offers an immersive, poetic experience, a moment suspended between dreams, tradition and wonder.
Opening show on Friday 21 November 2025: To mark this new edition of the Sentier des Lanternes, the public is invited to the Jardin de l'Esplanade at 6.30 pm on Friday 21 November 2025 to discover a brand new creation by five artists from the Cercle de Feu theatre company. Combining fiery choreography, pyrotechnic effects and LED lights, this 30-minute show will transform the space into a living stage, immersing spectators in a spellbinding atmosphere of intensity and poetry. Lighting will accompany the performance, then bathe the gardens in a magical atmosphere conducive to strolling. The artists of the Washasha company will extend the evening with choreographed LED performances, offering poetic and luminous continuity throughout the garden paths.
