On site, you will find the trail under the following name: LE LANGENBERG.

The Langenberg, meaning "The Long Mountain," is an essential part of this hike. The walking path partly follows the Saar River below in the pleasant setting of the village of Zetting, then passes by the ridge of the Langenberg.

The climb, although relatively short, requires moderate effort. It is rewarded with a superb viewpoint at the edge of the forest, overlooking the surrounding countryside and the church of Zetting. The rest of the route follows a very pleasant small path bordered by vegetation, punctuated all along by a series of boundary stones from 1769, made of Vosges sandstone.

The Langenberg is particularly appreciated for its rich panoramas and the tranquillity it provides. The charm of this hike also lies in the variety of landscapes: countryside, forest, and river.

For those who wish to continue their exploration of the Saar Valley, it can be complemented by the "The Zettingerwald" circuit (Le Zettuingerwald) on the other side of the river, by taking a picturesque 1.2 km connection through the village of Zetting. There you will find a charming church, the St. Marcel Church, a true historical monument known for its 11th-century tower, nave, Gothic choir, and stained glass windows.
Whether you are seeking tranquillity or a deeper connection with nature and history, this walk in the heart of the forest offers a rewarding experience for all nature and history lovers.

The two loops partially border the " Boundary Stone Tour" (Circuit des Bornes - 14.4 km). In the 18th century, 81 boundary stones engraved with a large Z representing a wolf trap, a symbol of the Counts of Nassau-Saarbrücken, marked the perimeter of the communal land of Zetting. Some of these boundary stones (1768) are still visible today along the small paths or sheltered under a tree.

- Alternative route: the route can be complemented by “The Zettingerwald” (Le Zettingerwald - 4 km).

- Connection: between the two loops, a 1.2 km connection passing through the village of Zetting (St. Marcel Church with its 11th-century tower, nave, Gothic choir, Renaissance frescoes, and stained glass windows). A second connection of 1.4 km leads to “The Fruit Tree Path” (Le Chemin des Fruitiers - 4.5 km).
