Castel Coucou is pleased to invite you on Wednesday June 3 from 6pm to the Villa Pompidou, 8 bis av. du Gén. Passaga in Forbach, for the cocktail reception of ENTRER LENTEMENT, an exhibition curated by Richard Neyroud, as part of his Hirondelle residency, 2025 - 2026, with the participation of Guillaume Greff, Lena Reckord, Marina Smorodinova, Aloys Schwartz, and the Musées de Sarreguemines.
ENTRER LENTEMENT is the starting point for an exhibition in which approaches cross borders, in which architecture is a signal of the Trente Glorieuses, and in which works of art dialogue with a territory. ENTRER LENTEMENT takes up residence in the Villa Pompidou, the Forbach sub-prefects' residence, commissioned by Georges Pompidou after his visit to the coalfield in 1972. ENTRER LENTEMENT echoes another modernist villa, that of Eileen Gray in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. ENTRER LENTEMENT is an invitation to slow down.
This inaugural exhibition is the first in a cycle that will run throughout 2026 at various locations on the Franco-German border. The graphic design for this exhibition was conceived by Jean Laniau as part of his research on the Saar-Moselle region.
The Villa Pompidou will be exceptionally open for the occasion Wednesday June 3 from 11am to 9pm and Thursday June 4 from 11am to 6pm. Admission free.
