From a small corner of the world, Wilhem Latchoumia makes the whole world sing. The recital by this pianist of Martinican descent is truly unique, tracing a magnificent musical map of the Pyrenees. A native of Barcelona, Federico Mompou is the composer of a mesmerizing body of work, with soft, magical hues, as if stripped down to the essentials. Born in Catalonia, Isaac Albéniz immortalized every region of the Iberian Peninsula in his famous collection *Iberia*, just as Déodat de Séverac immortalizes Cerdagne, that small region between France and Spain that feels as vast as the universe. The most famous of the composers of Basque origin, Maurice Ravel, naturally brings this enchanting program to a close.
