Warning: Unidentified Sound Object! Composers Benjamin de la Fuente and Samuel Sighicelli have created a unique musical universe. Combining the energy of jazz and rock instruments with explorations of improvisation and contemporary composition, the Caravaggio Ensemble presents *Thirteen Ways of Being a Blackbird*, a program blending songs and instrumental pieces. Joining the four musicians of Caravaggio for the first time are the viola d’amore of Garth Knox, the legendary Scottish artist, and the pop vocals of Belgian singer Diamanda La Berge Dramm, who also plays the violin. Neither rock, nor jazz, nor electronic, nor contemporary—but all of these at once—these “Thirteen Ways of Being a Blackbird” stand out as one of the most original experiences of the season.
