The Woippy Guide Dog School is opening its doors to the public so visitors can explore the world of guide dogs through a variety of free activities open to everyone.
Throughout the day, watch demonstrations featuring guide dogs and puppies in training, take guided tours behind the scenes at the school, and talk with guide dog handlers, foster families, volunteers, and professionals from the Association.
Workshops on visual impairment awareness, immersive obstacle courses, activities for children, and meet-and-greets with our partners will help you better understand the essential role guide dogs play in the daily lives of people with visual impairments. Whether you’re simply curious, a dog lover, a future volunteer, or just eager to learn more about our mission, we look forward to seeing many of you there to share in this friendly event.
Program: tour of the kennel; demonstrations featuring puppies in foster care, dogs in training, guide dogs, and navigating with an electronic cane; information booths, disability awareness exhibits, and fair-trade shopping; a raffle; and activities for the little ones
