As the Advent season approaches, Metz is getting ready to don its festive lights and immerse you in the magic of Christmas. Stroll through the enchanting markets and discover the magical atmosphere of Christmas in Metz!
Christmas in Metz: A Wonderful Market—130 market stalls scattered throughout the city and a large Christmas tree create an enchanting atmosphere. For a bird’s-eye view, an 81-meter-high observation tower and a Ferris wheel offer unique vistas of Metz and the Euro-Metropolis. Artisans and merchants—many of whom are from the region—offer spiced treats and sweets, works of art, Christmas decorations, and traditional hot drinks that warm the heart. Young and old alike can discover local craftsmanship, particularly at the Qualité MOSL chalet—a showcase of Moselle excellence—and at the various other chalets, including those of the “Opération Chalets Solidaires” initiative.

A Sustainable Christmas
Buses and park-and-ride facilities are free on Saturdays and Sundays during the Christmas market.
This year’s event reaffirms the Metz Christmas Market’s commitment to a more responsible Christmas, with the EMERGE label—a benchmark for eco-friendly events.
