Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme

Monsieur Jourdain has big dreams: he wants to become a “gentleman.” When a simple bourgeois struggles to gain entry into high society and imitate the nobility, pretense runs rampant, intrigues arise, tutors come and go, and misunderstandings follow one after another… Turks show up uninvited, marriages are arranged, and arguments over vowels and consonants unfold amid a whirl of powdered wigs and flamboyant costumes.
