Comprising two distinct yet complementary worlds—one acoustic and the other electronic—the duo invites participants to explore the richness of sound in all its forms. On the acoustic side, with Maÿwen, children will be able to play with and experiment with various instruments: glockenspiel, sansula, singing bowl, harp, guitar… They’ll also be able to record their own voices using a microphone. On the electronic side, with Julien, they’ll discover how to transform these sounds: modulating voices, playing with pitch, exploring sound effects and textures, and generating new soundscapes in real time. The workshop also includes an introduction to sound effects and the creation of “cinema for the ear”: using voices and objects, the children will create small soundscenes in 3D audio, discovering the magic of immersive sound.
