The Glint
*Three Minutes and Thirty Seconds Before the End of Time* is Jack Simard’s eighth album. It deals extensively with the urgency of living in the face of increasingly dire times. We obviously find Simard’s signature songwriting, energy, and tone—with his characteristic rambling style—but a new level of care has been brought to the arrangements. The trio’s drummer, Vincent Cegielski, has taken the lead on a composition that showcases drum grooves and keyboards. The result is unbridled music and liberated lyrics that are more attuned to today’s world.
