“Whether in the Auchan parking lot or sitting at a table with friends by the water, the characters who populate Eve Guerrier’s paintings invite us to enjoy a special moment. To immerse oneself in one of Eve Guerrier’s paintings is to share a story with viewers, passersby, or friends. Painting as a meeting place—one that forges connections and resonates with our humanity. Each painting poses an ambitious question: How can we depict life, nature, and everyday existence? If the visitor ponders this, they find before them a wonderful space of freedom. Upon closer inspection, one can clearly sense the patient research that went into the work. The artist explores and builds with color to create a different perspective and give birth to new representations. Nature displays surprising colors; people blend seamlessly with the elements depicted; movement is present; the moment is suspended; joy is palpable.
