Historic monument or place to visit in METZ , on the theme(s) Military interest , awarded with the Label Listed historic monument (MH) .
Formerly the palace of the commander of the German XVI Corps, it was built between 1902 and 1904 in the German neo-renaissance style.
The palace has 30 rooms and 70 annexes. One wing was reserved for the Emperor.
Today, it houses the Military Governor General commanding the North-East military region.
Visited only during the European Heritage Days.
