Built from 1901 to 1904 in gray sandstone and neo-Romanesque style, on the Jardin des Amours at the end of the Place de la Comédie, the Temple Neuf contrasts with the classical architecture of the Opéra-Théâtre. It was built for Protestant civilians.
Illuminated at nightfall, it is magnified and reflected in the Moselle River, offering one of the city's most beautiful night views.
