The casemates were the very first built on the Maginot Line and the first to enter active service (casemate test December 24, 1931) put into service in January 1934. They saw combat on June 14, 1940. The crew surrendered to the Germans on orders and were considered undefeated on June 30, 1940.
The visit to the work takes the visitor on a journey to 1940 where he discovers the life of the soldier thanks to a rich historical reconstruction.
