After a few kilometres on the Marne-Rhine canal, head north on the former Saar Coal Canal. You will discover the wild ponds of Gondrexange, Stock and Mittersheim. This last village is worth a stop for outdoor activities. After passing through several Alsatian villages, you will reach Sarreguemines, the city of earthenware which is well worth a visit. Once in Saarbrücken, you can't continue north without a boat licence.
