Located on the site of the former Carreau Wendel-Vuillemin, the railway shed was originally used to maintain the locomotives and locomotive-tractors used daily for shunting and hauling trains. Today, it is a fabulous heritage site that can be explored with a guide and houses not only the current railway collections but also the permanent collection. Fireless steam locomotives and railcars, diesel and electric locomotives, railcars, as well as coal-fired passenger cars and monorails are all on display here, bringing to life the great adventure of rail transport in the mining and industrial world!
