On the upper plateau of the citadel, the historical museum "Des Hommes dans la Guerre de 1870" (Men in the 1870 War) houses archive images, collections of weapons and uniforms that bear witness to the experience of men on the battlefields. The recently restored Vauban chapel now houses the original relief plan of Bitche, an exceptional model dating from 1794 and classified as a historical monument.
