Among the major tourist sites in Moselle, Amnéville – the leisure city welcomes more than 6 million visits each year. In other words, it is the largest leisure area in the Grand Est region.
Its main highlights include the Amnéville Zoo (No. 1 in visitor numbers in the Grand Est), the thermal spa complex, one of France’s leading facilities in its field, and the world’s longest indoor ski slope, Snowworld.

Fancy wine tourism?
- The Moselle Wine Route, inaugurated in 2013, winds through the department to discover the great AOC Moselle vineyards across three geographical areas: Metz area, Three Borders area and Vic-sur-Seille.
- Each year, the Moselle Wine Festival brings together 19 AOC winegrowers and allows many visitors to taste the very best of Moselle vintages.
- A great way to discover AOC wines (designation obtained in 2011), visit these remarkable vineyards, admire Moselle’s historical and natural heritage from a different perspective, or spend a night in the heart of a wine estate.

A destination for Christmas
From late November to late December, the magic of Christmas spreads throughout Moselle.
Lantern trails, craft markets, musical events, games… Metz, Forbach, Sierck-les-Bains, Bitche, Amnéville and Sarrebourg dress in their finest colours to offer visitors the unforgettable Moselle Christmas experience.
Among the highlights, Metz and its magnificent lantern trail was ranked in 2023 as the 3rd most beautiful Christmas market in Europe by the website “European Best Destinations”.
