The Unis pour la Terre association invites you on an exclusive tour of the Simon quarry in Schoeneck, a former mining wasteland that today boasts a magnificent canyon landscape.
At the bottom of the basin, a lake is being created by the rising water table. All around, nature is reclaiming its rights in this former sand quarry, used by the HBL to fill in the mining galleries.
Come and discover this breathtaking landscape on the outskirts of Forbach. The walk will take place along a pleasant path laid out by the Communauté d'agglomération Forbach Porte de France, which invites you to discover the quarry from several angles.
You'll discover extraordinary flora and fauna, in an environment that's constantly evolving! Price: 10 euros Schedule: July 5 Schedule: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Meeting point: Lycée Condorcet parking lot, Schoeneck Registration required.
