The Association des Amis des Orgues de Forbach presents a concert on the theme of the Passion. Many composers have written magnificent, poignant works on the theme of Christ's death, particularly those of the German Romantic period. Enjoy Felix Mendelssohn's magnificent O Haupt voll Blut und Wunden, sung by the Petit Choeur de Forbach. The influence of Johann Sebastian Bach hovers here. Or the great Sabat Mater by Josef Rheinberger, with Victoria Lescalier accompanying the choir on organ. Thierry Ferré will also perform organ pieces by Mendelssohn and Gustav Merkel in the grand romantic style. Free admission. Duration: 1 hr. Retransmission on large screen.
