Every month, a new fun and collaborative challenge!
The June challenge is to collectively ride 12,950 km: you can ride wherever and whenever you like, just remember to activate the free Geovelo app on your smartphone while you’re riding. The kilometers you cycle will then be added to those of the “Collectif Vélo Forbach Porte de France” virtual community.
To do this, install the Geovelo app on your smartphone, create an account, click on “Community,” click on “+,” enter the code BSCOZP, and finally confirm.
117 people have already joined this virtual team (which has accumulated 11,930 km in the 2026 “Mai à vélo” national challenge, ranking as the 2nd association in the Grand Est region). Whether you ride a little, a lot, or passionately, whether it’s for a leisurely ride, exercise, commuting to work, or running errands, whether on a regular bike or an e-bike: you’re welcome to join!
June 3 is World Bicycle Day, a day designated by the UN on April 23, 2018. The UN declaration is, in a nutshell, an excellent case for cycling: "a simple, accessible, reliable, clean, sustainable, and environmentally friendly mode of transport that promotes sound environmental management and fosters health." The organization also hails cycling as a mode of transportation that “encourages creativity and social participation and gives the user an immediate awareness of their surroundings,” as well as a “means of access to education, healthcare, and sports.”
Enough talk about the merits of cycling... Go ahead, hop on your bike: let’s go!
How to get there ?
