Nostalgie du réconfort is based on interviews with 32 members of the working-class family of Matthieu Dandreau, author and director of this play that explores the themes of belonging, transmission and social emancipation. It's a one-man show in which Grégory Fernandes plays all the members of this dysfunctional but loving family, as well as the icons of youth and the avatars of the hero, whose personal memories are imbued with popular culture, class tensions and taboos, in a universe that's offbeat, poetic, joyful, festive and heavily marked by the presence of television.
