A native of the Grand Est region of France, with Algerian-Tunisian roots on his father's side and French roots on his mother's, Joakim turned to TV reporting after completing his studies in hypokhâgne and Sciences Po. For years, he reported from Ethiopia, the Maghreb, the Sahel and Côte d'Ivoire, before becoming an audiovisual producer and poet. Crises Ivoiriennes (ed.Tarmac, ill. Jacques Cauda) is the end of an African adventure, a logbook where flesh collides, where bodies embrace, hit and burn, where pleasure and pain merge to the point of obsession. Free admission.
