This conference will take you on a journey of discovery of industrial heritage treasures within a 70-kilometer radius of Sarreguemines... less than an hour away! These itineraries will bring us close to an infinite variety of objects bequeathed by the past practice of industry, from earthenware kilns to glassworks, from headframes to blast furnaces, from beautiful classicist factories to sheds, from flour mills to breweries, and right up to towns entirely devoted to manufacturing production. Along the way, we'll consider the contribution of excavations, iconography, architectural inspection and landscape analysis to our understanding of what has shaped our past. And what we've done with such monuments!
