Charly Bechaimont has been invited to occupy the Degrés Est space, dedicated to artists linked to the Grand Est region, at the suggestion of Marie Griffay, former director of the Frac Champagne-Ardenne.
Born in 1991 in Saint Dié des Vosges and a recent graduate of the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design de Reims, Charly Bechaimont lives in the Grand Est region. The artist uses waste, sometimes toxic (lead, cigarette butts, used oil...), to invite us to look at the violence of our society.
These discarded objects, placed under tension by the artist, are nonetheless rendered sensual and desirable¿: truck tarpaulins become worn skin, drain oil becomes body fluid, tar as the scab that coats the wound...
How to get there ?
