A jazz musician and founder of the group OZMA and Compagnie Tangram, Stéphane Scharlé is an experienced composer of music for images, on stage and in film.
For his first solo project, he revisits René Clair's Paris qui dort. A film between dream and reality, in which a handful of people discover an inanimate Paris, almost devoid of its inhabitants. Using augmented drums, which generate loops and add a multitude of electronic sounds and effects to the drums, Stéphane Scharlé draws a new soundscape echoing repetitive and minimalist music.
