CHAPELLE NOTRE-DAME DE LA MISÉRICORDE

"Our Lady of Good Help" Chapel is at the far side of Mouterhouse, on the road leading to Lemberg. This humble chapel was built in Gothic style and has a sundial on its main facade. In the sanctuary stands a wooden statue dating back to the 18th century sculptured entirely from a trunk of limewood. This sculpture represents the Virgin sheltering 14 characters in the tails of her coat: 2 donors kneeling at the foot of the Virgin and 12 figures representing the different social classes (gentry, clergy and estates of realm).
