The Church of Saint-Marcel in Zetting, located 7 km from Sarreguemines, bears witness to several centuries of architectural history. Its 11th-century Romanesque tower, its nave—which was remodeled in the 15th century—and its Gothic choir from 1434 illustrate its evolution. It also houses a remarkable 14th-century Entombment scene, Renaissance frescoes, and, above all, magnificent 15th-century stained-glass windows created by a workshop on the Rhine. These windows, exceptional in both quality and style, are the jewel of the church.
Registration is by phone only with the tour guide, Mr. Gilles Weiskircher, at 06 71 47 21 94. Meet at 10:00 a.m. in front of Saint Marcel Church (approximately 2 hours).
