The castle is located in Hombourg-Budange, a few kilometres from Kédange-sur-Canner. The castle cannot be visited, but the property can be admired from the right bank of the Canner.

The castle is the private property of the de Rochechouart de Mortemart family, one of whose most famous ancestors was Madame de Montespan, the favourite of Louis XIV. It is a seigneurial residence, in the form of a square building surrounding a small courtyard. The main façade to the north is framed by two round medieval towers. The other facades are characteristic of the 16th century.
