Halloween fun for all the family
Louise, Ethan and their two children chose Center Parcs - Le Domaine des 3 Forêts as their base for a short break in Moselle, a unique natural setting for some family fun. It has several aces up its sleeve: “It’s super convenient as we have everything we need to enjoy our stay right here”, explains Ethan.
And there are plenty of unique things to do nearby: “The evening we arrived, the whole family rode the Abreschviller forest ghost train, just 15 minutes from our lodge. It was our first time doing anything like that. The children loved it”.
Just hours earlier, they enjoyed another unique experience, the Saint-Louis Arzviller inclined plane. A descent of almost 45 metres on Europe’s largest boat lift. Stunning!

The magic of Sainte-Croix
The following morning, the family visited the famous Sainte-Croix wildlife park. In this protected 120-hectare natural haven, home to 1500 animals from around the world, living semi wild, their youngest child Louis (aged 3) particularly enjoyed the grimacing beetroots and friendly monsters. The Halloween decor is a hit with visitors every year.
Mum Louise has one wish: to come back next year. “Théo was entranced by the whole spectacle! And that’s really quite rare (laughs)!” Later that evening, the Théo in question also sampled and enjoyed local specialities at Restaurant Auberge de la Forêt, in the charming small town of Saint-Quirin.

A life in glass
On the final day of their getaway, the children were amazed to learn how Christmas baubles are made at Lehrer Crystal Glassworks. Glass blowers offered demonstrations and shared their unique expertise.
After the tour, Théo knew one thing for sure: “When I grow up, I want to be a glass blower!” But before that, there’s time for a final afternoon of fun in the pools and flumes of Aquamundo at Center-Parcs before returning home with plenty of happy memories.
