Moulin d’Eschviller | Volmunster
Step into the legend
Halloween at the Moulin d’Eschviller
At the Moulin d’Eschviller, Halloween is about more than just scares: it brings to life the stories, creatures and beliefs that have fuelled our imagination for generations.
During the previous edition, visitors of all ages were taken on an adventure combining an escape game in the old mill, a nature trail inhabited by sinister plants and creatures from the Schwalb, autumn tales and potion-making with a druidess.
Then, as the day drew to a close, fire took over with The Legend of the Dragon, a pyrotechnic show in which the creature emerged at the heart of the story. A spectacular reminder that some legends are far more impressive when they come to life before your eyes.
Let the story unfold
What if the dragon was more than just a story?
For a few moments, forget about separating fact from fiction. Simply watch the legend come to life.
Sarreguemines
In Sarreguemines, stories step off the page
From Château Utzschneider to the Community Media Library
Here, the legends move into a different setting. They leave the forests behind and take over a château, books and places you would not necessarily expect to feel unsettling.
Château Utzschneider has already embraced the world of Beasts & Witches with experiences combining exploration, puzzles and intriguing stories hidden within the building.
Just a few steps away, the Community Media Library regularly transforms Halloween into an evening dedicated to stories and imagination: eerie tales, magic, games, decorations and encounters take over the shelves. The stories usually found inside books end up filling the entire building.
Beware of stories
Some are much better behaved when they stay inside books.
Once you step through the doors, you may well find yourself inside the story.

Some stories might be better left underground
The Corridors of Terror
Towering above Bitche from its imposing rocky outcrop, the Citadel already has everything needed to impress: ramparts, vaulted passageways and an extensive network of underground tunnels carved beneath the fortress.
For Beasts & Witches, these corridors become the setting for one of the festival’s most intense experiences. The route takes visitors underground through a series of different worlds, where creatures, sets, sounds and unexpected encounters appear when least expected.
Witches, the undead and other figures from the Halloween imagination seem to have found refuge inside the Citadel. As you make your way through, the old fortress gradually gives way to a much less rational world.
Once inside
Stop wondering whether you believe in it.
In the Corridors of Terror, the real question is: how far will you dare to go?
[2026 DATES TO BE CONFIRMED] | Simserhof | Siersthal
Not all legends come from the past
Halloween at the Simserhof
After dragons, witches and creatures from the underground, one final story awaits. This time, it does not claim to come from an ancient spellbook.
For Halloween, the Simserhof has previously transformed its vast underground fortification into a post-apocalyptic setting. With “The Second Wave”, visitors entered a mysterious Underground Medical Infectiology Sanctuary, where a catastrophe appeared to have left behind some unsettling traces.
Galleries, metal doors and military infrastructure give this fiction a striking sense of realism. You are no longer being told what might have happened in the past: you are plunged into what could happen next.
An experience for the bravest visitors, taking the dossier in one final direction: legends may never die… but new ones can still be born.
One final story
What if the next legend began right now?
At the Simserhof, forget the old tales. This time, you are part of the story.
More stories await
Moulin d’Eschviller, Sarreguemines, the Citadel of Bitche and the Simserhof are just some of the events featured during Beasts & Witches.
Tales, shows, games, family activities or experiences for the bravest visitors: discover the full programme and choose your next Halloween outing in Moselle.
