Forbach | 2026 programme to be confirmed
Start before night falls
Thrills at the Schlossberg
During the day, the Schlossberg is one of Forbach’s largest green spaces. But at Halloween, as soon as the sun begins to set, the paths, trees and sounds of the forest take on a completely different atmosphere.
With Thrills at the Schlossberg, visitors are taken on a walk where eerie stories, characters and legends accompany the gradual arrival of night. No walls or underground passages are needed here: the natural surroundings are enough to fire the imagination.
An ideal first step into the Halloween atmosphere before moving on to experiences where light becomes much harder to find.
Wait a few minutes
When does a familiar place start to feel unsettling?
When the sun disappears? When the first sounds of the forest can be heard? Or simply when your imagination starts to do the rest?
Parc Explor Wendel | Petite-Rosselle
When night falls, fire takes over
Embrasement at Parc Explor Wendel
On this former mining site, night does not necessarily mean complete darkness. During Beasts & Witches, flames become part of the show, reshaping the monumental silhouettes of Parc Explor Wendel.
Wooden sculptures, fire, music and dance come together in an experience where industrial architecture provides the backdrop for a spectacular night-time performance. Shapes appear in the flames, evolve and then gradually disappear before the audience’s eyes.
Here, the thrill does not come from a creature hidden in the shadows, but from the contrast between the vastness of the site, the darkness and the power of fire.
Watch closely
For a few moments, the fire becomes your point of reference.
Shapes appear, burst into flames and then disappear. When the show is over, only the memory will remain.
Musée Les Mineurs Wendel | Petite-Rosselle
Then switch almost everything off
The museum by torchlight
Just a few metres are enough to completely change the atmosphere. After the flames of Embrasement, darkness takes over the collections of the Musée Les Mineurs Wendel.
A curator has mysteriously disappeared. To find out what happened to her, visitors make their way through the museum with a torch in hand, look at the display cases in a different light and try to spot the elements they need to move forward.
In the narrow beam of the torch, objects appear one by one. Everything else remains in the shadows. A museum you thought you knew suddenly feels much less familiar.
Your best ally
A torch.
It will show you what lies directly ahead. For everything else, you will have to keep moving.
31 October and 1 November 2026 | Bambesch
What if you switched off the lights completely?
The Galleries of Terror
For this final stop, there is no need to wait for nightfall. Twenty metres underground, darkness is already there.
At Halloween, the Bambesch galleries become the setting for a life-size escape game experience. For 1 hour 30 minutes, participants make their way through several areas where puzzles, immersive sets and surprises unfold in the underground tunnels of the fortification.
Narrow corridors, metal doors and buried galleries are already enough to make you forget what is happening outside. Add a few puzzles and an atmosphere specially created for Halloween, and losing your sense of direction becomes part of the experience.
For those who prefer to stay above ground, family activities also allow younger visitors to enjoy Beasts & Witches.
Before heading underground
Remember the daylight.
For 1 hour 30 minutes, you will make your way twenty metres underground. And no one can promise that every area will be perfectly lit.
Would you rather choose your own level of fright?
Schlossberg, Parc Explor Wendel and Bambesch are just some of the experiences offered during the festival.
