The Chênes-Brûlés observatory is a device on the Maginot Line which allows the firing of artillery pieces from neighbouring works to be guided. It is dedicated to the Mont-des-Weiches ouvrage.

The block has two floors, one dedicated to observation and communication, the second to the life of the soldiers. The association is responsible for restoring the site. Visits by appointment only.
