On site, you will find the trail under the following name: DE LA FERME AUX PÂTURAGES
Set off on a 10.8 km countryside hike for an immersion into the heart of pastures and rural heritage. This scenic route links the villages of Kappelkinger and Petit-Tenquin, plunging you into an authentic setting of fields and pastures where sheep, cows, and horses graze peacefully.
Right from the start in Kappelkinger, you will be charmed by its half-timbered houses and the Saint-Jacques Church, dating back to 1733, which stand as living witnesses of a preserved rural heritage. Along the way, the picturesque passage under the archway of the Zellen educational farm welcomes you and invites you to continue towards the lush landscapes.
Continue your walk towards the hamlet of Petit-Rohrbach, where an impressive natural monument awaits: a majestic 13th-century pedunculated oak, about twenty meters tall. This centuries-old giant has been watching over these lands for centuries, a true witness to the history of the area.
Throughout this route, let yourself be carried away by the serenity of the pastures, marked by the presence of animals and the gentle breeze sweeping through the meadows.
A small section of the itinerary in Kappelkinger coincides with the 11.3 km “Colchicums and Marshes” route, which leads you to the Val de Guéblange.
- Connections: a 3.2 km link allows you to reach Hilsprich and connect to the routes “Around the Marais pond” (Autour de l’Étang des Marais - 11.8 km) to the Hirbach pond in Holving, and “In the Footsteps of the Marsouins” (Sur les Pas des Marsouins - 13 km), which partially circles the Marais-Pond in Rémering-lès-Puttelange.
- Trail-Marking: yellow rectangle
- Geographical area: The Albe Valley, in the heart of unspoilt nature
- Starting point: Kappelkinger > rue de l'Albe - Cemetery
