Moselle AOC wines: a wine region on the up!
The hillside vineyards flanking the banks of the Moselle in the Sierck-les-Bains valley, around Metz and further south near Vic-sur-Seille produce fresh and floral wines using three main grape varieties. Slightly tannic red and fruity rosés are made using pinot noir. Light, refined whites are made using auxerrois and pinot gris.
Having been awarded protected designation of origin status after a long struggle by the region’s winemakers, Moselle wines now grace the finest restaurants. Sample them in our Qualité MOSL labelled restaurants or at the wineries themselves, where you can enjoy a tasting.
