Created in 1991, the Prix d'Art Robert Schuman is a biennial cultural event organized in turn by the cities of Luxembourg, Metz, Saarbrücken and Trier (cities in the Quattropole network). Its aim is to encourage contemporary artistic creation by showcasing artists and projects from this cross-border region.
This 2025 edition features 16 artists at three venues in Metz: the École Supérieure d'Art de Lorraine gallery, the Arsenal gallery and the Octave Cowbell gallery. These three exhibitions explore bodies and their social, cultural, personal and sensitive living spaces, intimate narratives and the objects - sometimes everyday - and memories of which they are the traces.
The prize consists of an endowment awarded to a winner chosen by a jury on the day of the opening.
The artistic curators for this year's event are : - Metz: Élia Biezunski - Luxembourg: Liliana Francisco and Steve Cruz - Saarbrücken: Shannon Luka - Trier: Larissa Wesp
An exhibition catalog will be distributed at the opening.
