Practical information

Historic monument or place to visit in METZ, on the theme(s) Sacred art.
The church of Saint-Maximin offers a glimpse of three different architectural styles. Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque. But most of all, it features a slide show of the stained glass windows created in 1967-1969. Created in 1962 by Jean Cocteau, an artist of metamorphosis, light, osmosis, movement and rhythm. Today, these stained-glass windows make this church a must-see. It is open to visitors every day.
