The Departmental Salt Museum in Marsal traces the history of salt, also known as "white gold", through the production techniques used from prehistoric times to the present day.

The museography has been set up to highlight the town's fortifications, notably with a virtual reality workshop where a 3D film recreates the citadel in the Vauban era!
