With *L’Heure Exquise*—a playful nod to Paul Verlaine’s poem set to music by Reynaldo Hahn—embark on a whirlwind of glitter for an evening bursting with color and feathers, where false eyelashes and stiletto heels are a must! On stage, five charming performers sing an eclectic repertoire in an irreverent show featuring lyrical flourishes and plenty of humor. Hailing from the worlds of music, theater, and the cabarets of Montmartre, they deliver meticulous performances of grand opera arias and the most beautiful pieces of classical music in original arrangements. But this merry troupe also doesn’t hesitate to tackle iconic artists like Johnny Hallyday, Céline Dion, Véronique Sanson, and Theodora. Punctuated by skits filled with witty one-liners and perfectly sharp retorts, this production by L’Heure Exquise never loses sight of the fact that cabaret is also a political space for expression, irreverence, and social engagement. An evening of pleasure and elegance where a critical spirit joins the fun.
