Sharon Eyal’s most eagerly anticipated piece to date for the S-E-D Dance Company, *Delay the Sadness*, explores thresholds, the breath of life, and the purity of emotional outbursts.
The former dancer with the Batsheva Dance Company and one of the leading choreographers of recent years continues her signature work alongside curator Gai Behar: pointe work and arched bodies, individuality within the collective, a blurring of sensations, and a polished aesthetic. The bodies vibrate in striking, repetitive movements, in multiplied trances set to furious rhythms.
Each creation is an intense experience, entirely focused on the present moment, as if it were each performer’s last breath and it had to be made as unforgettable as a budding love.
How to get there ?
