With QUATRE (seasons), Bruno Benne blends the spirit of the Baroque with a resolutely modern approach to spark the curiosity of young audiences.
Through a dance duet, he explores our instinctive relationship with movement, space, and time, in dialogue with Vivaldi’s iconic concertos. Why does a musical beat make us move? Why does a sound make us want to spin, jump, or even stand still? How does music spark our imagination? With four feet, four ears, and two bodies—sometimes mirroring each other, sometimes out of sync—the dance unfolds between liveliness and contemplation, seriousness and humor. Bruno Benne presents a choreography in which every gesture—from the most expansive to the most subtle—expresses the pure joy of connecting with music.
