Exhibition - The Passion of the End, from Dürer to Rethel

The Archives Municipales de Sarreguemines invite you to discover the fascinating world of engraving and illustration through some 50 facsimiles from an exceptional 19th-century collection.

The exhibition highlights the works of two great German artists: Albrecht Dürer, master of the Renaissance, and Alfred Rethel, famous for his depictions of the danse macabre. An artistic and historical journey through spirituality, graphic virtuosity and reflection on the human condition.
