Think outside the box.
For his latest creation, Alexander Vantournhout, as curious and mischievous as ever, invites us to rethink the way we look at things. Inspired by the notion of the frame, he transforms public space into a visual and physical playground. At the heart of Parc Explor Wendel, he has installed a series of pavilion structures where spectators are invited to move from one frame to the next, to the tune of virtuoso numbers performed by his performers, carried by the soundscape of the surrounding space. Visually and sonically, the environment becomes an integral part of the performance, offering a new perception of space for the audience. In keeping with his approach combining dance, circus and physical exploration, Alexander Vantournhout has created a particularly inventive piece on the borderline between art and architecture.
